Supporting Local: How Hosting an ATM Keeps Money in the Community

Published August 15, 2025 by Chris Nichols

Cash gets spent close to where it comes out

Someone who takes cash out at your counter is likely to spend it at your counter, or at the shop next door. Money that would have gone to a card processor stays in town a little longer.

The surcharge is split locally

Card fees go to banks and processors. With an ATM, part of every surcharge goes to the business hosting it, and the rest goes to me, and I live in Butler.

Where I work

Butler County, plus Mercer and Lawrence. Towns like Slippery Rock, Grove City and Harrisville. If you're close by, call me at (724) 264-8181.

If you have a storefront around Butler and want a machine in it, fill out the host form or call or text me at (724) 264-8181. The calculator gives you a rough monthly number first, if you'd rather start there.
